Carrots Pro
Client Context & Objectives
Carrots Pro is a dynamic rewards platform designed to incentivize consumers to engage with and promote merchants' social media content in exchange for rewards. The app's core purpose is to empower everyday consumers by creating a symbiotic relationship between them and the merchants. By offering rewards for social media sharing, Carrots Pro facilitates mutual benefits: merchants gain exposure, while consumers are rewarded for their engagement. As a prototype for a first demo version, the project required simple yet effective branding that communicated the platform's purpose in an approachable and engaging way. The goal was to create an intuitive user experience and a cohesive visual identity that would resonate with both consumers and merchants.
My Involvement
As part of the team, I collaborated with a software developer and a copywriter to bring the Carrots Pro app to life. My role primarily involved the design of the app’s branding, as well as its user interface and experience. Working with the team, I created the initial logo and visual identity, focusing on simplicity and clarity. Given that this was a prototype, the branding was deliberately minimal but strong enough to convey the app’s core idea. Once the branding was established, I worked closely with the team to define the content strategy and user experience, which led to the creation of user personas, empathy maps, mood boards, and sitemaps. The goal at this stage was to understand the needs and expectations of both consumers and merchants in order to build an intuitive and engaging platform.

The Design Process
Before the final prototype was developed, I was responsible for designing mid-fidelity wireframes that helped visualize the app's basic interactions and user flow. Once the wireframes were finalized, I created a high-fidelity prototype in Figma that reflected the finalized user interface design. The prototype focused on simplicity and ease of use, with an emphasis on a smooth user journey that would keep consumers engaged and encourage merchants to integrate seamlessly.
Outcome
The Carrots Pro app prototype successfully demonstrated the potential of a rewards-based platform that incentivizes social media engagement. The branding, while minimal, communicated the core idea of mutual benefit and empowerment between merchants and consumers. The high-fidelity prototype provided the team with a fully functional demo that could be presented to potential partners, while the landing page, developed by another designer, further showcases the app’s value proposition for both consumers and merchants. Although the project was in its early stages, the cohesive branding and user experience laid a solid foundation for future development, positioning Carrots Pro as a compelling concept in the world of rewards-driven social media engagement.
